Our Story
Mamma Rina is a new brand, with over 75 years of Sauce making experience. Mamma Rina was born in 1935, in a picturesque town called Cugnoli, nestled between 2 of the more fascinating mountains in Italy; The Grand Sasso and La Maiella. During World War 2, Mamma Rina, her brothers and sisters had to learn really fast to fend for themselves. While war was waging all around them and with her dad killed, Mamma Rina chose to deal with her despair by immersing herself in learning how to cook. The cooking and experimenting with different ingredients gave her young life meaning, purpose and more importantly happiness. Mamma Rina is now 87 and still doing what she loves the most……..making the sauces with only the freshest of ingredients to keep her kids grandkids and great grandkids Healthy and Happy. It is now time to share our great healthy sauce with all of you. Mamma Rina sauces are not just about eating, they are about Family, Tradition, Health and most importantly Happiness.
